Sociology - Sociology
is concerned with how specific people interact with one another in group
situations, and how their behavior varies from one society to another. The purpose of this course is to introduce
the scientific study of humans in society.
Through the study of sociology, you develop a respect for various ethnic
backgrounds and cultural differences.
The class considers the consequences of social stereotyping and the
value of basing beliefs about social groups upon verifiable evidence.
